Mathematics Leadership Corps (MLC)

Thanks to the generous donation from the Leonetti/O'Connell Family Foundation, the Louis L. Borick Foundation, and the California Community Foundation, teachers from Linwood Howe, La Ballona, CCMS and CCHS are part of the Mathematics Leadership Corps (MLC), a collaboration between CCUSD, the Cotsen Foundation for the ART of TEACHING, and Loyola Marymount University. MLC provides two research-based professional development programs: Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) and LMU's Center for Math and Science Teaching (MAST) for secondary schools. Working with these programs will enable teachers throughout our district to develop more resources for engaging their pupils in math, thus increasing student interest, knowledge, understanding and success.

The documents provided below are general MLC Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), geared for middle and high school, and both powerpoint presentations for the math nights at CCMS and CCHS.
